| A diamond stack locomotive pulls a three car passenger train across Roebling's Suspension Bridge over the Niagara gorge at Niagara Falls. This view is from the Canadian side, looking towards New York. The replacement bridge is still referenced by the current railroads as Suspension Bridge. It is a two-level bridge, with roadway beneath railroad deck; the white shed built around tower is the toll booth. This old stereo card was published by C. Bierstadt, Niagara Falls, NY. Roebling's Bridge in Niagra Falls was demolished in 1896. |
