Boston Harbor 1

An old stereo card provided this scene of the harbor at Boston Massachusetts (USA). The absence of any steam powered boats or ships suggests a mid 19th century date. The larger ship dockside is a three-masted, wooden hulled, barque which was the most common type of deep-water cargo-carrier in the middle of the 19th century. A small fishing schooner can be seen behind this barque.
