Boston Harbor 2

An old stereo card provided this scene of the harbor at Boston Massachusetts (USA). A small steam powered tug boat or harbor ferry is visible and a mid to late 19th century date is plausible. The original stereo photo was faded with low resolution and there is surface damage as well. Nonetheless, we can make out two masted brigs and small fishing schooners. Boston was a major fishing port into the second half of the 20th century when the Grand Bank fishing stocks began their rapid decline.
