Schooner Tour - enjoying the deck

This is the second of a pair of photographs taken in the late 19th century. It depicts either a day's outing on a schooner and/or a group on holiday and on their way to an island vacation. It seems that almost everyone has settled down to read on a pleasant afternoon. Schooner captains often provided 'ferry service' between islands when needed.
