| These steel engravings have yet to receive precise identification. Two Ships of the Line are depicted in their final hours, but whether battle or ship board fire and exploding munitions is the cause is difficult to discern. Lower left we see a ceremony on deck. Lower right the colors, and possibly a sail or two, are being changed as a detachment of marines stands by. |
